Officer elections: 7:30 - 8:00 p.m.

As mentioned in previous posts, I (Bob Tregilus) must step down from my leadership roll with the EAANN.

Therefore, it's up to all of you if you'd like to see the local EAA chapter continue on.

Back in November a meeting was held at my home with a small group of folks who have expressed an interest in seeing this EAA chapter in Northern Nevada remain active. Several were willing to take on various tasks such as producing this newsletter, organizing events like the EAANN display at Earth Day in April and National Drive Electric Week in the fall, doing media work, and so forth.

However, at the time, no one was willing to pick up the baton and take the position of conductor (president or chair or whatever you want to call it).

So, without someone to take the lead and coordinate activities with the others, the EAANN will cease to exist.

Of course, that would be a very sad thing given that Northern Nevada is now in the world's eye as a hub of EV innovation and technology with the Tesla Motors' Gigafactory being constructed east of town at the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center.

As I've stated before, I will be available to help with the leadership transition, and may even remain active within the group in some small way. I just can no longer be the point person for the group.

I hope to see you all at the meeting in February!

And since this will be my last newsletter--I wish to thank everyone for your interest and support of electric drive transportation over the years. And it's with deep heart felt gratitude that I wish to thank everyone who has been active in the EAANN and has helped with the myriad of tasks necessary to keep a group like the EAANN active. In particular, I'd like to thank EAANN co-founder and co-chair, Chuck Swackhammer, as well as past and present EAANN officers, Peter Fletcher, Glee Willis, and Jeb Bateman.

Full batteries all!
